I bought one of those West Ham Train Season Tickets, back end of last year I couldn't travel for around 5 games because of the works, and what with this now will add up to I don't know how many!
Reckon I could still use that on the C2C, seeing as the sole purpose of this ticket is for the West Ham games?
Would probably be more hassel than it's worth claiming money back as they would just come back with "well, we are laying on buses".

I mean surely you just bunk through a barrier where you get on and then use your ticket at the other end anyway, considering it will work at Stratford.
Doubt anyone would argue, you just plead ignorance.

Yeah that's a pisstake.
Just seems like profiteering to me. Also unfair on people who need to travel who AREN'T going to a game either.

There must be some sort of compensation for the days they aren't running, surely. That must count as a delay to service if you're getting a bus replacement service.

I thought there would be no overcrowding on trains from stratford due to the excellent transport links?

c2c aren't obliged to accept GA tickets at all, so I do wonder if it may be a commercial decision on their part to exclude those days. Harsh but that's possibly the likeliest explanation. Who owns C2C now? Didn't National Express sell the franchise on to some Italian company recently?
